(this is a brief description of Dr. Haley’s adventure) :
“I apologize for the boring subject matter. In summary, I moved a lot, I learned a lot, and now I’m back!” -Parker Haley, DDS
Dr. Parker Haley grew up in the small town of Ketchikan, Alaska. Once high school rolled around his family relocated to Bellingham, WA where he attended Lynden and Meridian High School. For college he attended the University of Washington earning a triple degree in Neurobiology, Biochemistry, and Political Science. He stayed in Seattle and attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry becoming a board certified general dentist.
Once Dr. Haley became a dentist he traveled Washington State to collaborate with dentists and hone his skills in dentistry. From specialty dental offices to private and public health offices, Dr. Haley was able to become proficient in all areas of dentistry including dental implants, bone grafting, pediatric and oral sedation, oral surgery services, and endodontics (root canals).
“After graduating I wanted to learn everything about dentistry. So I went out there, worked 6 days a week, and I am still continuing to learn everyday.” -Parker Haley, DDS
During his travels throughout Washington State, Dr. Haley was offered an opportunity in Southern California to join a group practice and continue his training. Dr. Haley was the managing dentist at Ladera Ranch Dentistry. Ladera Ranch Dentistry was a unique office catering to patients of all ages. From complex cosmetic dentistry to sedation cases for fearful patients, Dr. Haley was able to meet the needs for a variety of families.
Cosmetic dentistry plays a large role in the community of South Orange County California, and being apart of that community has allowed Dr. Haley to provide cosmetic services including dental porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and full mouth reconstructions via implants to many patients.
“Patients always ask, ‘why did you move to California?’ Allow me to explain.” -Parker Haley, DDS
Dr. Haley met his wife, Amy, during dental school. Amy was in the medical program studying to become a pediatrician. A short time later after they met they tied the knot and Amy was granted the opportunity to relocate to the University of California Irvine to finish her studies in pediatrics. During Amy’s residency, their daughter was born, Heidi Ann C. Haley. Once Amy completed her studies, they decided to relocate back to Bellingham to raise their family. As a side note, Amy was formerly known as Amy deWilde, which her family owns a small business in the Bellingham area known as the deWilde’s Wholesale Nursery. Amy is currently practicing as a pediatrician at Peacehealth in Bellingham.
