Bellingham Irish Festival Kicks Off Friday With Concert
Bellingham’s Irish Festival is back again for 2016 with lots of great events and activities for everyone to enjoy! The festival will take place in multiple locations throughout Downtown Bellingham on September 16th through the 18th. There will be live music, dancing, sessions, educational opportunities, performances and fun for the whole family. Bellingham Beer Week Starts Friday
Heads up Bellingham beer lovers! Bellingham Beer Week is just around the corner. In fact, the week-long festivities are kicking off this Friday at Kulshan Brewing with the 2016 Bellingham Beer Olympics. In honor of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, the inaugural Kulshan Beer Olympics will mark the beginning of this year’s Bellingham Beer Week in grand Olympic fashion. Bellingham Color Run 2016
The Color Run came once again to Bellingham on Sunday and brought with it this year’s Tropicolor World Tour, bathing it’s 5K runners in a glorious array of tropical colors and delicious island scents as they passed through each of the color arches. At the Finish Festival, Color Runners were treated to even more fun at Rainbow Beach, an interactive island featuring island-themed music, dancing, unique photo opportunities, and massive color throws. The Color Run has donated more than $3 million to charities since its inception in 2012 with this year’s Bellingham event supporting the Whatcom Family YMCA locally and the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and Sigma Chi nationally. Dementia affects everyone, from children and grandchildren to friends and neighbors. Mental illness is hard to deal with, but the more we learn about the various forms of dementia and their causes, the better we can use that knowledge to find help for those affected, as well as potentially learn new ways to help prevent these horrible diseases. Since 1983, the Alzheimer Society of Washington has served Whatcom County by providing education and support groups for adults caring for those affected by dementia.
