BE in the Show! First annual community talent show
Have you ever dreamed of preforming on the Mount Baker Theater’s main stage? Do you have a talent that you’d love to show off in front of your community? Do you enjoy variety shows like America’s Got Talent? If you said yes to any of these questions, BE in the Show is the event for you!
BE in the Show is a showcase of local performing artists hosted at the beautiful Mount Baker Theatre. Local performers of all sorts will grace the main stage for a night of family-friendly entertainment. Emcees Ron Warner, local radio personality, and fellow Upfront Theatre improv player Maddie Neuman will charm you through each of the unique acts.
Audition videos may be submitted via YouTube and will be accepted until 5 PM on Monday, January 25. We invite anyone in their teens and older to audition – singers, dancers, actors, bands, poets, contortionists, acrobats, magicians and more – it just needs to be family friendly. For complete details, please visit http://www.BEintheshow.com/perform/.
Show up early at 6 pm and your ticket will also grant you access to a pre-talent-show Dance Showcase presented by The Dance Studio, featuring original performances from a variety of groups and classes (including some of the cutest toddlers in the world).
Tickets are $5 (plus fees) and can be purchased at the door or online at http://mountbakertheatre.com/shows/be-in-the-show/.
Proceeds will benefit Blue Skies for Children – a local non-profit supporting homeless, low-income and foster kids in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. For more information, visit http://www.blueskiesforchildren.org/
