The Farm Fund Hootenanny & Eat Local Month Kickoff
Here in the Pacific Northwest, we love a good Hootenanny! And what better way to kickoff Eat Local Month in Whatcom and Skagit counties than with live music, local food and brews, lots of dancing? Well that’s exactly what’s happening this Sunday at Boundary Bay Brewery! So come on down and  kick up your heels at the fourth annual Farm Fund Hootenanny.
Come join the fun with live local music, square dancing, farmer recognition and awards, a photo booth for capturing the memories and of course Boundary Bay Brewery’s beer on tap and delicious local barbecue. All for the benefit of Community Food Co-op’s Farm Fund. That’s right! 100% of proceeds raised at this event will directly benefit sustainable, organic food and farming projects in Whatcom and Skagit counties.
The Community Food Co-op is happy to co-sponsor this lively, fun community event with Sustainable Connections and to kick off Eat Local Month in grand fashion. September is a special time in Northwest Washington. In the height of the harvest season, Eat Local Month reminds us to celebrate the bounty in our backyard and support the good folks who grow, raise, and prepare our food by buying locally grown food from local businesses.
