Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage
Bellingham Dental Group would like to congratulate all of the participants of last weekend’s Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage. Every year hundreds of teams turn out to take part in this incredible 200 mile long relay race while also raising money for the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter. This year Bellingham Dental Group was proud to sponsor teams Dirty Dozen and 6 B.A.R. Also a very special shout out to Wander Brewing for taking first place in this years event.
What is Ragnar?
Where the forest meets the sea, Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage will excite your senses and leave you breathless. Beginning near the Canadian border in Blaine, WA., participants of all skill levels run relay-style from point-to-point while experiencing the iconic sights of the Pacific Northwest including the glacial Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, Deception Pass and the Puget Sound. Teams are made up of 6-12 individuals; each individual runs 3 legs of the race which vary in difficulty and distance, from 3-8 miles, allowing elite and novice runners to run together. Each team runs this 200-mile relay over two days and one night racing to the finish line on Whidbey Island.
Ragnar is often called a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant. This unique relay turns out crazy costumes, inside jokes, close quarters and unforgettable stories. Each Ragnar brings thousands of people together to create deeper connections and celebrate together as they conquer a challenge they couldn’t accomplish alone. Life’s a journey – run it with friends!
